Standard Examiner Article - On the building inspector

The Standard Newspaper, didn't print the entire story or have it right!
Yes, the City staff did give the numbers and reasons for a full time building inspector, however, I offered up the idea of contract services to save the City money!  In the discussion, there is approximately 40 to 50 residential lots ready to be built on, not counting the Cove development and any of the new apartment or townhouse developments currently on the table.  I believe that the City could save money by outsourcing, however, there was not any serious support for the outsource.
No, there was no vote as mentioned in the paper.
I will continue to work and try to look at other ways to save the residents of the City money.
Again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve!
Sincerely,
Councilman Toby Mileski
